school has been in for about 2 weeks which is just enough time to learn all the students names and get back into a routine. you think you have it all figured out but then the bosses throw you a curve ball. in one days time i went from 4th grade to kindergarten and its quite the culture shock. although i graduated from college with a degree that allows me to teach preschool aged children, i have worked with older kids for so long that i have completely forgotten how cute and how much more difficult little kids are. they say the most random funny things, something you mention to them will always spark about 50 comments, and you have to continually remind them to raise their hands but hey, i love 'em :) so, instead of working with my sweet girl who can't read i will be working with a little boy who is behind academically and has some behavioral issues...still easy compared to last year, thank goodness. the teacher is really great and i can't wait to learn from her (that's probably one of my favorite things about working in a school is i learn new things from every single teacher that i can use in my own classroom one day). i'm really excited and keeping my fingers crossed that things work out! hopefully you don't get another post in the next week or so saying that i have once again switched classrooms :)

I don't know how you guys do it! I don't have enough patience to be a teacher. Hopefully you stick where you are at for a while instead of being moved around again. Good Luck!
