so my husband, the one person who actually looks at this blog (just kidding noelle, family and those few others :) told me he got on to see if i had updated recently..i hadn't and he seemed a little bummed so i found something to post. our mason boy is almost 6 months old and getting so big! lately he has decided that laying on your back is for babies (which apparently he has decided the term "baby" no longer pertains to him) and you have to stand up if you want to be cool. he also thinks that jumping up and down is awesome (it was actually the only thing that kept him quiet during relief society on sunday). so my mom found us a great jumper to hang from our pantry doorway. he is still figuring it out but pretty sure it will be the one thing that saves my sanity with that kid! another big milestone: mason is learning to sit up! he can do it pretty freaking well with assistance (especially the boppy pillow...best baby present ever!) and he is starting to do it unassisted as well. i got this great picture of him playing with this toy...he can only sit up for about 10 seconds at the most but it is still so amazing to watch him develop his skills!
as most of you from cedar city know, the skyfest was held over the past weekend and we got this great view of the hot air balloons right in front of our house. i really wanted to take mason to balloon glow saturday night but had a bridal shower in st. george to attend instead. oh well. maybe next year!

pretty sure these are the two most random things ever, but next month will be full of excitement! we have a ton of activities coming up (including a trip to washington d.c.) so i will have plenty to talk about when that time comes!
That is AWESOME that Mason is sitting up by himself. I don't think Alia will ever sit up! That picture of Mason is so cute. We need to hang soon!
