peas and carrots

it is so hard to believe that 5 months ago i was sitting in a hospital bed staring at this precious new baby, scared to death of what the future held. now that cute boy acts much too old for his britches, is already super smart, has quite the personality and although there are days where he drives me absolutely crazy, i wouldn't trade him for anything! proving that time has passed way too fast, we fed him his first serving of real baby food today! since he has already had a little taste of carrots off grandmas dinner plate, we decided to stick with that. to my surprise he LOVED it! every time i lifted the spoon up for him to see, he would grab the spoon and shove it into his mouth (we have to give him his own spoon when we feed him or things can get pretty ugly :) i seriously can't believe that we have already reached this point in time but i am loving it! i can't even wait to try out more things! hopefully we don't have a picky eater on our hands :)
