i have never been a fan of halloween but everyone knows that babies change everything. having mason makes me want to be a cool mom. i want to decorate the house all spooky, i want to dress up with the kiddies, i want to make yummy treats to eat. good thing i didn't do any of that this year...maybe next year i'll start being a cool mom :)
this year for halloween we started the night off at my parents house. my youngest brother's plans got dissolved last minute so we decided to take mason trick or treating with him. dallin was dressed as a vampire with his face all painted and those fake teeth in and mason just couldn't figure out what was going on. all around the block he would look over at dal and just stare. it was so funny! when people would bring the bowl of candy to the door and let us choose our poison, mason would reach his hand in, play with the candy for a minute, then pull out what was easiest to grab. i eventually started getting the candy for him because he kept grabbing m&m's and mom and dad wanted a little variety :)
after making our way around the block we went back to my parents house, ate some pizza with the family, then we headed to curtis' aunts house. they make homemade doughnuts every year so we definitely had to make a stop and show off our cute boy. we enjoyed visiting with some other relatives who had also stopped by and those doughnuts are so delish you can make a bet that we will show up on halloween night again next year!
even though mason was basically just along for the ride and only got one treat that he could actually eat (someone gave out teddy grahams) we had a good time! of course we have pictures to share!
mason is the cutest rooster ever! how fun you got to trick or treat with your uncle dal
ReplyDeleteAlthough Mason is Grandpa's boy he must have some of his Grandma in him what with grabbin the M&M's and all.
